About Ruth Health
Ruth Health is building reproductive healthcare for the Philippines that meets people where they actually are — online, often in a hurry, and looking for real answers from a company that respects their privacy and their time. We started with emergency contraception because that's where the gap between information and access is widest, and we're expanding from there into ongoing birth control, follow-up care, and adjacent reproductive health products.
Our team is intentionally small and senior. We combine engineering, clinical, design, and operations roles in a way that lets us ship full features with a tight feedback loop. We optimize for outcomes (orders delivered, questions answered, follow-up care arranged) rather than vanity metrics, and we treat the product as a piece of healthcare infrastructure rather than a marketing funnel.
We're based in the Philippines and serve customers from Metro Manila to the most distant provinces. Many of the challenges we work on — discreet courier logistics, clinical review at scale, multilingual education content, courier integration with J&T and Lalamove — are uniquely shaped by operating in this market. If you're excited about building something useful for a population that has been badly underserved by the existing healthcare system, we'd love to hear from you.
What we're hiring for
Our current open positions span engineering, clinical operations, and growth. On the engineering side, we work across TypeScript, React, TanStack Router and Query, Drizzle ORM, Cloudflare Workers, and a small set of supporting services for messaging, search, and analytics. The team ships continuously, owns features end-to-end, and is comfortable making product decisions alongside engineering decisions.
On the clinical side, we're looking for Philippines-licensed physicians and reproductive health specialists who can review intake forms, weigh in on edge cases, and contribute to the educational content that helps patients make informed decisions. The role is part-time and remote, with clear protocols for what comes through clinician review and what doesn't.
On the growth side, we hire writers, designers, and operations leads who can translate product capability into accessible communication. If your background is in healthcare communications, public health, women's health advocacy, or growth marketing for consumer healthcare products, your work probably overlaps with what we're doing.
Even if you don't see a perfect role match, send us a note. We hire opportunistically when the right person reaches out, and many of the people on the team came in through a cold introduction.
What working at Ruth Health looks like
We work remotely with occasional in-person collaboration in Metro Manila. The default communication model is asynchronous via chat and document threads, with focused meetings reserved for decisions that genuinely benefit from real-time discussion. We try to be deliberate about meeting count because deep work — design, engineering, clinical review — is where most of the value gets created.
We're transparent about what's working and what's not. Weekly company-wide updates cover orders, support tickets, engineering ships, and revenue. New team members get full visibility into the business model, customer feedback, and our roadmap. The flip side is that we expect everyone to engage with the broader context of the company, not just their narrow role.
Compensation includes a base salary aligned to senior market rates in the Philippines, equity for full-time roles, and an annual stipend for healthcare and learning. We pay attention to compensation review on a regular cycle so that strong work translates into real career growth over time.
